RadarGroep acquires Regioplan to strengthen research expertise and societal impact
As of 1 September 2026, Regioplan has become part of RadarGroep. With more than 35 years of experience in policy research, evaluations and data analysis, Regioplan brings valuable expertise that strengthens our ability to address complex societal challenges through research, advice and practical implementation.
Expanding expertise and impact
Regioplan is widely recognised for its work on complex societal issues and serves clients including the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, the Royal Library of the Netherlands, and the Goldschmeding Foundation.
For RadarEurope, the acquisition is particularly interesting because Regioplan brings extensive research expertise as well as international experience. Together, we see opportunities to combine knowledge, research, advice, and implementation in ways that create additional value for clients and partners across Europe.
A strong strategic and cultural fit
Regioplan will continue to operate as an independent unit within RadarGroep. The most direct synergies are expected with RadarAdvies, where the overlap in themes, expertise and clients is strongest.
When the opportunity to acquire Regioplan arose earlier this summer, initial discussions quickly showed that both organisations share similar values, a strong commitment to societal impact and complementary areas of expertise. A thorough due diligence process confirmed that the acquisition is a strong strategic and substantive addition to both organisations.
