Advancing Social Justice: Local Solutions to fight poverty and inequality
In 2015, the international community adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, recognising inequality and polarisation as some of the key challenges of our times.
More equal haves and have-nots for all, fighting poverty and kicking back inequalities require working towards closing the digital, social, skills, education and health gaps. The prevention of national poverty pockets means bringing forward sustainable solutions accessible to everyone. It calls for building social safety, greener cities and finding durable, quality solutions for social services in every community, including the smallest and hardest-to-reach.
Radar Europe is committed for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We contribute to building global connections for social justice and stability.
Our projects focus on:
Building and maintaining networks to allow transnational sharing of valuable knowledge and experience
Supporting EU member states and assisting accession countries in their path toward integration
Tackling complex social challenges and developing practical, locally driven solutions for marginalized communities
Bringing together experts and partners to drive meaningful, multi-sectoral change
Our experts are specialised in research and developing tools for professionals to make sense of inequalities around us and how they fuel instability in societies. We have experience in managing complex and large-scale projects. We collect evidence and analyse. We help formulate theories of change for sustainable and value-based results. We connect essential services and bring partners together. We help our interlocutors to bridge resource gaps. Bringing on board social and security angles, we design and carry out projects for transnational learning and experience sharing.
Project example from RadarAdvies
Fighting poverty through prevention, aftercare and treatment
Our team of passionate professionals is deeply involved in policy development in poverty eradication, financial security and debt relief.
Prevention
We implement initiatives aimed at preventing severe debts and their escalation, with satisfied clients integrating our methods and approaches into their organisations.
Treatment
We have rolled out a new methodology based on Mobility Mentoring and the scarcity theory designed for professionals working with individuals with debts, other financial challenges and unemployment. Through applying the methodology, practitioners at the municipality level acquire skills to support clients of social care and work with them to find tailored solutions for individuals.
Aftercare
Enabling a national policy framework is key for effective, individualised aftercare. RadarAdvies undertakes seconded assignments and projects with key national partners and decision-makers. Combining policy advice and working with professionals at municipality level allows us to create complete feedback loops to develop actionable and effective policies for the recovery from personal financial shocks.
